Sister Bay Plan Commission is meeting Tuesday, February 27 at 5:30 PM
You may have received a notice in the mail about additional changes that the Sister Bay Village Plan Commission is considering to CH 66 related to STRs. We want to make sure that you are aware of these changes and understand the specifics of what this would mean if the proposed changes are passed. This new change would force owners to use their garage spaces toward their total number of parking spaces available for guests OR lock them entirely and not allow guests access to the garage.
For example, suppose you have a two-stall garage that currently houses your kayaks, paddleboards, and outdoor games or is an entire game area; you would no longer be able to use this space for those reasons and would have to either
- force guests to use the garage to park their vehicles in or
- lock the garage and not allow guest access of any kind.
If passed, you will not be able to offer the garage space as a recreation area to your guests.
The next Sister Bay Plan Commission meeting is on Tuesday, February 27th, at 5:30. These changes will affect how you operate your STR; we encourage you to call, write letters, and, most importantly, attend this meeting to voice your opinions/concerns.
