Welcome to the Home Hosts website, which has been developed using feedback from our members gathered during our Member Forums.
This site is built on the knowledge we’ve gained from successfully collaborating with 11 Door County municipalities over the last 6 years.
Don’t be lulled into thinking just because your town has passed an STR ordinance that things are now set. Many towns continue to refine their ordinances. Home Hosts continues to advocate on your behalf so that those changes are fair, we challenge misinformation and keep you informed.
When there are critical meetings regarding your town, you’ll be the first to know and hear our attorney’s advice regarding potential ordinance changes along with action we can take to advocate on behalf of STRs.
You’ll also find the latest industry news, trends and updates that impact our Door County short-term rental community.
In the past year we’ve conducted three new educational programs, covering effective marketing, booking, handling challenging renters, and even cleaning your STR.
We’ve also hosted the head of Destination Door County, to discuss with us the effects of the economy and changing trends in tourism that impact your STR bookings and marketing.
We get together via Zoom so if you live out of town, you don’t have to miss a thing.
As a member of Home Hosts, you’ll be invited to Members Only Forums that ensure you are informed and your voice is heard.
Join Us as we work to build a trusted home sharing community.
