The Baileys Harbor Village Plan Commission plans to discuss an amendment to the Short-Term Rental Ordinance #2022-01 adopted on October 5th, 2022 next Monday, June 5th at the Plan Commission meeting.
The Village of Baileys Harbor has proposed changes to local regulations regarding short term rentals (“STRs”) within the Village. Village leadership is trying to enact an amendment to help keep a balance in neighborhoods of year-round residents, seasonal and STR properties. One way they hope to do this is by limiting all NEW licenses issued by DCTZC after July 15 to a 7-day consecutive stay (or owner-occupied) amendment.

Action Needed:
- We highly recommend you attend the upcoming Plan Commission meeting in person. By attending the meeting, you may ask your questions and express your concerns directly to the Plan Commission members.
- If you’re unable to attend the meeting, please take a look at the draft amendment and email any questions or concerns to admin@baileysharborwi.org. Any emails received will be forwarded onto the Plan Commission for review. Once the Plan Commission agrees upon the proposed amendment, they will send it to the Village Board for discussion and approval. If the Plan commission approves a plan at the June 5th meeting, the next Village Board meeting is on June 12 from 6:00-7:00pm, and this will most likely be presented to the board during this meeting.
